East Nashville, With Love earned its name for good reason.
Those of us who live on this side of Nashville’s Cumberland River share a sense of pride, attachment — love — for our neighborhood you’d be hard-pressed to find in any other city.
On the outside, it might seem like that springs up from the fact that East Nashville is stocked with incredible restaurants, colorful shopping, some remarkable historical architecture. But East Nashville thrives because of its people: artists, musicians, writers, chefs, designers, entrepreneurs, mothers, fathers, friends. We’re stocked with creative, hardworking people who tend to be as tight-knit as they are interesting. (The great restaurants don’t hurt, either.)
East Nashville, With Love is meant as a hub for the folks who live and love in East Nashville and anyone else who just likes to keep their ears on the Eastside. We mean to chronicle the culture, the happenings, the people in and of East Nashville, from those great restaurants and colorful shops to the many festivals and events that keep us happy and busy on this side of the Cumberland.
We don’t claim to know everything about our part of town, but we hope to keep learning, and to share as we do. And we hope to develop a hub of information and interaction that’s as vibrant as the neighborhood that inspired it. Thanks for helping us get started — and keep in touch.
